fabulous Matilda.
Perhaps you remember Tildy's other outfits.
This is another remnant from her beloved remnant bin at Elizas Fabrics.
It is a digital print on an odd, scuba-ish type stuff. Quite nice to sew and it took a hot iron.

It is a free pattern but nether the less it is a excellent sew, extremely well cut with plenty of bottom ease and an adequate rise.
The fabric was printed a little skew whiff-y and had a large unprinted white panel so I made that into a feature, cutting the waistband from that as well as adding some belt loops and a sash.
I put the hem up by hand, to continue the 'bespoke' feel.
Such a nice pattern.
Very comfortable with good ease but not baggy or sloppy.
Not a fabric choice (again) that I would make but Tildy loves her colourful clothes.
Another excellent O+S pattern. I was very impressed with the cut and fit of these shorts. Tildy is petite but is getting quite a curvy bottom and does not like feeling 'squished'.
The separate waistband is the cherry on top.
These shorts definitely passed the comfort test.
Bravo Liesl, very generous of you to offer these as a free pattern.
Thank you for reading... xx N
I just love this girl’s style. Have missed reading your posts. Was starting to think you were a tad busy... so great to see this latest lot of sewing.
