Music Class Sheepnanigans

I have missed you!

My Littles, Macbook and camera have all been sick and keeping me from you.
But I am back, Baby!

I finished up Tildy's latest farm outfit and I have some pictures to share.
'No, really'? I hear you say....
The Oliver+S Music Class blouse and skirt.
I made Tilly the size 3t with no mods and it is spot on for fit.
The blouse I sewed up in some Japanese cotton I purchased from Spotlight for $7- bargain!
I had been looking for a stripe with a vintage feel and this was just the job.
I skipped the pin tucks and went with the gathered yokes as it is a play shirt.
For the skirt I picked up a remnant of wide wale corduroy in a rich cocoa brown.
I reversed the nap a'la Liesl which gives it a sumptuous look.
I couldn't resist adding wee gingham bows to the sides of the pockets.
And what pockets! Super clever fold-up-on-themselves type pockets.
Love them.

And the reason I was hunting for a vintage toned stripe for a blouse?
This cardy. I purchased it last year and it had not been worn.
We can't have that!
Nice and snuggly for collecting the eggs.
(D'ya like her new wellies)?
Taking a little friend from the USA for company.
Toasty in my knitted hat from Susanne.
Lets go!
I wonder who we will meet?
'Baaaa, who is that coming our way'?
'Oh, its Maaaaatilda'
'Kisses Matilda'
'KISSES'!
'Okay, a cuddle will do'

    1. They are lovely lambs Peta, doing really well.
Her boots were a present from Daddy, she gets quite stressed dodging the sheep pooh!
      Thank you

  3. I love her new wellies! It's always so interesting to have a peek into your life. Having sheep and chickens (I imagine you got the eggs from chickens you own) is foreign to us suburban folks.

I should post more farm life photos. Just not sure that people would be interested.

    1. Thank you Laney, as Tildy goes to kindy 3 days a week I don't have the need to sew as many pretty things and I miss it.

I will take more farm pictures, I forget what is 'everyday' to us is unusual to others.

      Thank you for your comments.

    1. Thank you Katy, I was really pleased when I found the fabric. Don't you love that?

They are dear lambs, But Liddy is kept very busy sweeping 'smart pills' of the decks.

  8. Love the entire outfit (little bows, included)!
The cardi has such a lovely color - everything looks perfectly coordinated (the wellies are awesome...)
And please, more farm pictures and adventures. We are also city folks. Not as fun :-(

I always enjoy your lovely photos on your blog too. I guess different lifestyles are intriguing.
I thought Jed did very well with his present from the Sheepvention. I would quite like some rubber boots like those too!

  10. They have grown well Cindy and are excellent lawn mowers!
I was so pleased to use the cardy (finally) it was far too nice to sit unused!

  11. I love this entire outfit - stripes, corduroy, beautiful vintage style cardigan - she looks like a little 1940s British farm girl (one of my favorite style motifs/eras). What a wonderfully practical but also pretty little ensemble!

    And BABY SHEEP. So sweet!

    1. Inder, we had to head to the city today and Liddy found the same shirting in a navy colour way so I HAD to get it for her.

Thank you so much! And baby sheep are always a bonus!

  12. Adorable, really, really lovely! Perfect vintage-y stripe, what a good eye you have to see that it would go so well with the awesome cardi. Great details with the gathers instead of the pintucks and adding the little bows to the skirt. Love how she's so comfortable being up close and personal with the sheepies :-)
