This time in a cotton broadcloth.
Very rustic.
A repeat of the Aime Comme Marie 'Mister' shirt
Hugo chose the details.
I wasn't convinced.
But its his shirt!
Now its made?
I love it!
Men don't get a lot of clothing choices.
So pleased to have found a great shirt.
xx N
Oh yes, he chose well! I love how much effort and love and care you put into the details in your kids' clothes. When will we get modelled shots? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane.
ReplyDeleteHugo went on Pinterest to find what he wanted. I must admit I wasn't thrilled about the thought of dark top stitching on cream but he was adamant.
I hoped to pin him down for some photos tonight but Jed nabbed him to catch fly blown ewes.
I think he would have rather modelled ......
xx N
You are so right, N, men get so few choices and when they do make bold ones, it's very eye catching. Hugo has excellent taste!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that Jed is quite bold with his clothing choices (and he is a seriously hairy butch looking chap) give Hugo the confidence to wear what he likes.
Soooo lucky, some of my friends boys live in trackies and Grateful Dead t-shirts.

Ooh - I love it! And the darker top-stitching shows off your flawless sewing, Nicole.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the modelled pics...
xx
Thank you Catherine, it is seriously not flawless but thank you!

He has great taste!! I love those cream details, and the topstitching would have terrified me as well, but you executed it flawlessly! Again, I see this shirt, and it just screams Benedict as Sherlock to me. Yummmmm. (Sorry, I know this is your son we're talking about, but this is exactly the style and cut of shirt Sherlock always wears!)
ReplyDeleteThank you Inder, and no worries, Hugo love Sherlock too, but the program not Cumber-bum so much....

I not sure what I love more, the color blocking or the top stitching but this shirt is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteReal men DO use Pinterest Sharon!
DeleteHugo spent quite a while looking before he made his mind up. I can't wait to show you!
xx N
He chose excellent details! The shirt looks very handsome on it's own - I'm sure it will look extra great on the wearer :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Kristin, he is a groovy young man, I love sewing for him.

I love the blue shirt with white accents! Very sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy, I hope it will work as a casual type too.

Another lovely shirt! I like the contrast and the back darts are a nice touch in a boys' shirt.
ReplyDeleteThe young men seem to like a fitted shirt now, the darts are a a lot quicker then three piece backs.
DeleteThank you Joy.

Your sewing is impeccable, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel, such a lovely comment from you!
