For Him.

Jed's turn again.
Another shirt, another rugby.
He knows what he likes!
And he likes a pink shirt.
When he chose this BullRush cotton shirting I questioned another pink shirt?
Why not? Was his response.
Fair enough!
I have tried several different shirt patterns trying to find one that is just right for a precious piece of Liberty Capel I bought him a few years back. I think we have found it.

It needs a few inches length to the body and the side vent lowered a little but it has a tailored but well eased fit that will suit a fine lawn well.
I am quite excited.

His other request? Another rugby.
Evidently, mine are nicer then the purchased ones.
Go me!
Another Kwik Sew vintage pattern with the best tab front instructions I have ever used.
Unfortunately, this is the last of my rugby knit and the seller doesn't have any more.
I used a linen/cotton blend for the collar and tab front, interfacing both collar pieces for extra body.
Jed really liked the tape trim I used last time so I did it again.
This time with some white tape.
I used red stitching on the white rubber buttons to match it up.
Same sleeve stencilling.
I was tempted to use red ink but Zara talked me off that ledge.
'Do you want him to look like Santa's little helper Mum'?
Nice.

Jed's next sewing turn will be a little scary.
Not only will I be cutting into $100 worth of Liberty but he wants me to try my hand at making him jeans!

Its nice to know he has faith in me (gulp)

    1. Thank you Sandi, I hope so.
Fingers crossed he will fit in the size range of the Kwik Sew jeans I make Hugo as I have already altered the waist height in those.
      Wish me luck!

    1. Thank you Sharon, I am so nervous. I tried to make Jed shorts when we were first wed and they were not good on him. I was shattered until my brother took them and they looked great on him!
It could be a tricky exercise....
