Vic Holiday 2015 Day One

The bags are packed
And so are the Super Six
We are off on our Victorian Holiday
A quick stop at Keith to buy some vitals for the road.
There is a lovely elderly Greek couple that sell their fruit every Saturday. I gather they come from the Riverland and we frequent the stall they set up in Tinty.
Next, Bordertown (birthplace of Bob Hawke former PM).
There is a lovely bakery here, The Morning Loaf, which has a gorgeous collection ( mini museum, really) of toys and early knick knacks.
We all enjoyed a hot chocolate and a piece of cake.
Next stop, Nhill.
Hugo, Lid's, Tilly and I walked the boardwalk over the swamp while Jed had a snooze ( he has been pulling long days on the tractor) and the Twins kept a sleeping Trixie company in the car.
Matilda tried out the HUGE slippery dip.
Here she comes.
Rather quickly.
Nhill has a great playground.
With some awesome play equipment
A good play to stretch.
There were a number of Op-Shops too but they were already shut.
All aboard and heading to Horsham.

See you later Alligator!

  1. Oh, how exciting to go on vacation with all your children! That was one of the favorite parts of summer vacation for me. I loved traveling with my sweeties. You are wise to break up the drive with lots of good snacks, toys, and stops to exercise and play. This year both our children( ages 20 and 21) were working when we were able to go off for a few days so it was just my Tim and me. We had a lovely time but I still missed 'the old days'. I know you will have a wonderful trip! Oh, and thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments. You made my day!

      We love our Victorian holiday.
It is a beautiful state, so green and so many lovely old towns and lots of glamorous shopping for the girls.
We are all enjoying wearing lovely smart clothes and eating amazing food.

    1. Thank you Kristin.
Trixie is poorly so we are not getting out as much as usual but the house we have rented is stunning so that itself is no hardship.

    1. Thank you Catherine.
Poor Beatrix, it has put a hold on some of our activities as it is just too cold to take a sick baby out.
However, the house is so well located, we are heading off in little groups by foot.

  5. ROAD TRIP!!!! The best! I have so many fond memories from road trips I took with my family growing up. We never had tons of money for fancy vacations, but we drove and camped and stayed at little motels and it was a blast! :-)

We really enjoy heading to Vic. It is quite glamorous compared to SA and we enjoy getting dressed up and eating lovely food.
