A Break at Last

We have been looking forward to this for sooooo long.
(sings)We are on holidays!
In flight entertainment.
Jed got a free MP3 with some ink cartridges.
Liddy claimed it as it was blue!

We had a good trip, stopping in Naracoorte for a play and a browse in some shops.
Then we ate our picnic(packed by Zara)in the park.

Penola was our next stop. A coffee and a quick look in the antique shops stretched our legs nicely.

On to Mt Gambier where I hoped to check out the big Spotlight fabric store(Joannes in the US)but Tildy was asleep and who wakes a sleeping child?

Another few hours of eye spy, telephone song and Elsa and Zara's charming rendition of Kung Foo Fighting in which the only lyrics they seemed to know was 'YUH',we arrived in Port Fairy.

Our cottage is perfect, everyone actually has their own bed.

Mu-um!

After exploring the house it was time to go shopping for supper and breakfast.
They are happy,I promise!
It was chilly but calm, lovely for a walk.
Look what I found.......
Big deal for a family that has eggs or weetbix everyday
Big decisions...
The choice!
Lotta's cheese!
My cheese!
Shops!

Awesome!
A sheep shop.
Daddy!
Chicken and salad-yum!
The end of a lovely day.......
Watching the Doctor
(except the yucky bits for Liddy and Tilly)
See you on the 'morrow.

Mine would go crazy for those cereals! We have Weetabix, eggs or porridge!

    1. Thank you Millie, have you left yet? Do enjoy your cottage by the lake.
The cereal is a holiday tradition,it is less expensive then eating out.
They ate the WHOLE box this morning so I guess we will have to choose again!

    2. Sunday! Thank you...we're very excited...I'm ironing in preparation. We usually buy a box (or many boxes)of Cheerios for holidays, and I've made a batch of Granola to bring...that's my treat!

    3. Making sure everyone has everything Millie? I understand that!

Fruit Loops were chosen for tomorrow.
What is Granola? Is it like muesli?

    1. Thank you Ana Sofia.
We usually go to our beach cottage but Jed was determined this would be a good break for me so a dish washer and washer /dryer was mandatory!
He even took my drafting gear out the car.

    2. Poor P hasn't had much luck fishing since the FL trip. He spent about 2 hours at my parents' house fishing in their lake but no bites. He's anxious to try surf fishing when we head to the beach house in a week. I hope Hugo has better luck!

    3. Hugo is off directly on his trip with some local anglers. He took the Twins off to the St Vinnies and found some heavy fishing pants,NWT.for $5 so he is pretty stoked.
I will pass on your good luck wishes,Thank you.

    1. Its gorgeous Brittney,what a treat!
With our brood it is far nicer to stay in a house rather then a hotel and our children eat way to much to feed then from room service!
      Thank you
