Tilly is finally in a size 3T.
As Brittney would say, 'Amazeballs'
Another 2+2 set by oliver+s.
I used $3 worth of broadcloth from the remnant bin at Spotlight.
And my usual mother-of-pearl buttons.
The colour blocking was a happy accident. I had to add the band to get the extra length.
I have lost count of how many times I have made the blouse.

The skirt, maybe seven or eight?

Although it is to be a play outfit, for one day only, she wore it out.
It looks perfect with the jacket made-by-Sarvi.
Isn't it divine?
Isn't she divine?
Thanks for indulging me...

ReplyDeleteThank you Lee.
DeleteDon't you love how a different fabric gives a completely different look?

The outfit is lovely! Your children are always dressed so nicely for 'play' and for going 'out'. I did the same for my children. I remember people telling me to 'just dress them in play clothes' when they had play dates and I would tell them that they WERE dressed in their play clothes. LOL
ReplyDeleteExactly Karen, why be dull?
DeleteMuch more fun to sew pretty things.

It is amazeballs! HAHA! I nearly spit out my soda when I read that ;) Beautiful set for a beautiful girl! I just love her sweet smile. This really makes me want to make a white 2+2!!
ReplyDeleteWe use the word ALL the time now!

She's gorgeous and I adore that cocoa/pinky-peach color combo. Reminds me of antique paintings of roses, if you know what I mean -- just the feeling of it. Bursting with pride to see a bit of 'me' in this one!
ReplyDeleteWe love that jacket Sarvi, absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

You are so inspiring! I am not sure how I stumbled upon your blog, but I'm happy that I did. I read several sewing blogs, but it's great to see a one with both clothing for children (male and female) and adults! I've been working on my own wardrobe this year, but when I can I try to fit in some stitching for my friend's 3 girls (4yrs and 20month twins) and my niece (19 months).
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Thank you Hilary, what a lovely thing to say.
ReplyDeleteAre you on Flickr? I would love to see your sewing.
