The neck has a gentle V-neck.
I know some of you ladies found it a bit high with the original neckline.
I did a blog post here with some tips for sewing the pockets.
Enjoy!

Oh yes, I love the changes. I was not enamoured of the high yoked neckline and have made it twice without the yoke. And even though I own the Portfolio in both size ranges, I have just bought this one (shhhh!)
ReplyDeleteI loved the look of the round neck but I found I had to lower it a wee bit.
DeleteI do like the new neck line very much though.
Can't wait to see what you do.

Yes, I might be finally converted! (Your versions were always my favorites, Nicole, but I do love the changed neckline - more flattering on a large bust!)
ReplyDeleteYay, I hope you like it Inder, I wear a Portfolio 3-4 times a week!
DeleteThank you!

I'm with you, Inder-ific! I always go for v-necks. I never did get the fit quite right on me with the Portfolio. I meant to go back to it, but.... I may be inspired to try again with the cappuccino version.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Sandi.

I AM going to make this dress. Really I am. You know I love your denim versions!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the changes to the new pattern too!
Oooops, I am meant to send you some, my friendly tumour got in the way!
DeleteI will be in touch.

Love this dress! And the pattern coming out is at a time when I am starting to think of sewing for myself.
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with sewing with Liesl&Co is that you are spoilt for everything else!

I love this new pattern but it still makes me want the old one more than ever! If anyone is ditching their old pattern to make the new one I'll happily purchase it from you! Email me at plasticmallrat at gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteEllen, what size are you looking for?
ReplyDeleteI love the old one, too, but not enough to pay the ridiculous eBay prices. If anyone wishes to rid herself of the pattern in size 6/8, please, please send an email to me at klgalloway1 at hotmail (dot) com
DeleteKelly, I have an eBay search running and I check out every sewing store I go past.
ReplyDeleteIf I find one, I will link it here.
