Ikat Funky Sunki

Tilly's Sunki.
The coolest of little dresses by the very cool pattern label Figgy's.

I made Tilly the 2/3 forgetting it is a generous pattern. Its a little wide but means she will get Summer and possibly next Winter wear as well.
The fabric is a linen/cotton ikat I picked up in Spotlight last year.
I only had a scrap so I am super pleased with my placement.
Tildy lurves it so all is right with the world.

  1. Adorable! I simply must make one (or three) for the girls this winter. And yes, perfect placement.

    1. Thank you Britters!
Its a nice little outfit for a girl who like dresses but needs something a bit more suitable for play.

  3. Love this! Lucky you to find such sweet ikat fabric.
The Chairperson on our Board of Directors isn't keen on the 2+2 blouse, Book Report or Sunki patterns. (Sigh) But I will show her your recent masterpieces and I'm sure she'll change her mind.
The last 3 outfits you've made for Tildy are fabulous: - creative, well constructed and just as good as one would expect from a high-end children's wear manufacturer.

    1. Thank you Deb, it has been so much fun 'Tilly' sewing. Little things are such fun to sew.
Unfortunately, Beamish needs more trousers so back to those.
Thank you for you very special comments.

  6. So cute - the fabric is perfect for it. You realize you are creating clothing snobs, right? (chuckle) Nothing in the shops will ever appeal to them!

  7. I love this pattern and am going to try again with a few autumn winter versions for Boo. Sadly she didn't want to wear my first attempt but I may be able to convince her to wear a 'long sleeved dress' once the cooler weather comes in. Tilly looks adorable in hers!
