Zara's choice
Very very vintage.
1979 'ish'
Spotlight voile from the lovely Justine.
Very very gathered.
Very very full.
A neat shaped back yoke.
Beautifully shaped sleeves.
Sweet little mandarin collar.
Which fastens with (my signature) mother-of-pearl buttons.
I loved sewing this blouse. With all the gathering and careful pressing involved it was reasonable amount of work.
But I loved every minute of it!
Modelled pictures soon, I promise!
I sure it was a lovely sew, I can't wait to see modeled pictures of this!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fab sew Sharon, like O+S for big girls!

Beautiful top! I'm sure she will love it and look stunning in it too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was such a fun sew, a lot of fabric but as it was light floaty voile not heavy to handle.

Such an amazing shirt. I love everything about it. I'm really looking forward to the modeled pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine!
DeleteIt looks great on her, she has a flair for unusual clothing and her figure (tiny waist bigger hips) looks good in vintage.

Ooh, what a FABULOUS "vintage" (I'm sorry, but things made AFTER I was born get quotation marks, because I am certainly not vintage) pattern! I can't wait to see it on her! This is one that could go either fabulous or horrendous in real life, but I bet Zara pulls it off.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage patterns! Except the sizing... they always make me feel like an elephant :)
ReplyDeleteThe sizing seems to jump around.
DeleteI definitely need to go by measurements not number sizing.
Thank you!

Oh, yes, modelled pics ASAP please!
ReplyDeletePromise!

Exactly what inder-ific said! 1979 was only yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by what your girls are choosing. It's nice to see them picking interesting styles and I'm sure it'll look great on.
