Clever

You know I love my boutique pattern houses.
Oliver+S Figgy's and Clever Charlotte in particular for the Fab Five.

This is my favourite coat.

Its the Clever Charlotte Kestrel coat
Which I have made a few times ........
It has such gorgeous details but Boy, purple is hard to photograph!
Deep aubergine wool, wooden button, aqua silk thread......
And some pretty pretty lining.
As coat sewing goes, this one is pretty quick to come together.
Have a peep here

  5. Love the lining shot -- it looks so 'mod 60's' -- and it shows the coat has a well hidden wild side -- probably just like Liddy :)

    1. I am not a huge fan of purple but Liddy is very keen and I have some lovely pieces of fabric in that hue, so it has become her colour this season.
      Thank you Sharon.

I should trim her hair but she loves her long braids.

  10. Look at the way you pattern matched the lining on the openings! You are too good!
Such a lovely coat. I could do with some stylist help on my photos too, does Z charge by the hour?!

    1. Zara is awesome, she jumps in and fixes things.
Thank you, my girls are quite busy and I worry an all synthetic lining will get a bit hot and sticky.
