  1. It is truly amazing - the pants hanging up and the pants on Jed look so different that I never would have guessed they are the same ones. You have truly customized his fit! He's a lucky guy.

    1. Thank you Masha.
Jed (and Hugo) have long bodies but impossibly short legs, I am so happy to have found this pattern for them.
I have noticed my muslin fit clothes look peculiar on the hanger, huge bust darts and pokey out waists but so nice on.
It is worth the time to alter rather then take pot luck.

    1. Thank you Kate.
They are awesome, I love the stretching/shrinking tip during the construction. Jed reckons it adds a lot to the comfort.

  3. I always love how you put that little bit of extra care in the details, like the top stitching on the pockets, to make them special.
And I agree with Masha -- so different, so much better on the man himself!

    1. Awww, thank you Christine. I cannot take credit for the topstitching on the pocket, that was in the pattern directions.
They do look so funny on the hanger, don't they?

    1. Thank you Inder.
I guess real men like to feel pretty too. Seriously though, it makes me feel like a Rock Star to make jeans for Jed, that he likes better then his very expensive RM's.

  6. You are such a clever girl. These are amazing. Such a brilliant fit and beautiful finishing. I could look at your amazing finishing touches for hours :) What thread do you topstitch the denim with? I've been sewing with denim all week and I think it might become a bit addictive (I love denim!!)... too scared to try jeans though!!! x

  7. Thank you so much Virginia.
I just don't get the time to sew a much as I would like so I like to use lovely stuff.
I just use regular thread to topstitch but I did use double thread in the top spools for the pocket stitching.
I love sewing denim too. Like linen, it just looks better and better.

  8. Truly, the hanger photo is borderline hilarious, but they look fantastic on, and something magic happens and the proportions all look really normal. It's one of those brain tricks, right?!
Well done, they're beautifully sewn and perfectly bespoke!

  9. Borderline? They are hilarious and cathartic. For years I have had the annoyance of nothing I sewed for Jed, fitting him (although my brother happily took it and wore it). Now I understand fitting better I know it is him, not me.
    Thank you!
