(Yet More) Sewing for Jed

Another polo.
'Cause he likes mine best!
photo from Google Images
My tried and true KwikSew 1242
With a deeper chest pocket as requested last time.
Jed is really hard on his pockets so I reinforced the back with interfacing.
I went with a navy packet and collar to 'man up' the pink and lime stripe.
As usual, I used my labelling tape to play up the sportiness.
White rubber buttons stitched with navy and a two piece placket finish it off.
The cotton webbing at the side vents is the cherry on top.
Another sporty polo top.
For my old sport.

Jed still a-waiting his fourth piece. Hugo and I jumped the rota to have some new things for the 'Go's 18th.

I will share those next!

  3. Such a professional-looking garment, as usual! And I love that Jed will wear those colours. That family photo at the end is a beauty!

    1. Thank you Jane.
To be honest, I didn't even realise he was wearing it until I saw the photo. I was so busy!
It was awesome though, thank you!
You will have o head down for the Twin's 18th.

  4. Whew, my eyes! That navy really helps tone it down, lol! I'm supposed to be making a Negroni for my guy but he chooses such boring stuff, it's hard to get motivated. Neutral shades of checked linen aren't nearly as fun as Liberty and rugby stripes.

    P.S. Awesome family, N

    1. I know Christine, bright enough for you?

I quite like sewing neutrals, you can really focus on the good lines of the garment.

Thank you for your compliment, I am very lucky.

    2. Thank you Shelley.
As for the modelling, he would do it. He wore a lycra bodysuit complete with skirt for the Parents V Children netball game.
