Hugo the Builder-he can fix it!

If you have a child under 10,you know what I am on about.

Short and sweet-like my Jed
(Well,he is short and sweet and hairy)
Hugo turn on the 'rota' and he wanted work clobber.
Hugo has started a school based apprenticeship with the seriously awesome chappie that built our seriously awesome home.
This entails one days work a week(he tends to do his in blocks)
As long as he keeps his grades up I am happy,so far so good.
Our local school is great but there just wasn't enough going on to keep him busy.
We has always intended to send him away to school but it just wasn't possible at the moment.
He is definitely a smart lad and he is very keen on his sciences but he enjoys the company of older peers and he likes physical work.
School+sport+work is a great mix for him.
The pattern is Simplicity 4760 and it was sent to me from my sweet friend Karen.
I made Hugo the small although his measurements put him more towards the medium. It is quite over sized.
I used a light weight denim for the shirt and a cotton canvas for the trousers.
Hugo is very pleased.
The only change I will make next time is to stitch down the front facings before adding the pocket and the back belt loops on the trousers need to be deeper.
It was a very straight forward sew and the shirt was very quick with a nice collar treatment.
And a special photo for Deb.

  4. It makes him happy Sandi and it doesn't close any doors academically so we have agreed.

His tools were in the shed so let him use mine.
    Thank you
