  4. I know, I know... I ordered it too. Along with the Sandpiper set. It's just into summer here so I'll have a chance to try it out in a lighter weight linen first.

  5. Ooooh Cindy, don't tempt me..... but you know I have a massive to do list! Definitely the shorts and maybe the matching top in wool? To wear "over''?

For once I am happy to be on the other side of the world icicle! I have the rest of winter to plan!
Linen sounds lovely,I have several bits put to one side for that 'special' pattern,I think I may have found it!

  6. Nicole, I saw these on another blog 'no big dill' and liked the look of them, though I didn't get around to ordering. It sounds like you have them styled in your head already, the tweed will be perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

  15. Nicole,
You'll have no problems with the Finch shorts -- not a quick sew but so beautifully put together they are a pleasure to make. There are a few places where there are 4 layers (tabs) so I'd pick a thinner wool for that.

Here are mine in linen: Finch shorts I even hand sewed the cuffs; not my usual attention to detail :) I think you'll love this pattern.
