Clever Charlotte for my Gorgeous Girl

The Finch Outfit is lovely,I am sure we all agree on that.

I have made the complete outfit for Elsa plus an extra Finch top.
All have been well worn(and worn well)especially the Finch shorts.

Lidia choose this lovely set for her birthday present from me. As she loves her blues and greens(an overdose of pink as an infant maybe)? I showed her the Hope Valley collection and she was smitten.

I think she looks divine but I will admit to bias.

Liddy is tiny so I sized down on the shorts but added length when drafting-very easy!
As always I am completely in love with the beautiful bow.
But I did do a button trim as well for a different look.(They attach with velcro)
The back is so elegant.
Lets face it-The complete look is elegant.
From those dear little buttoned tabs at the sides.
That is repeated at the front waistband.
But its not too stuffy!
Perfect to curl up in......
and do some sister watching.
I think it will co-ordinate beautifully with her Chickadee blouse and skirtcome Autumn. Just add a woollen skivvy(merino of course)and some tights.
And when chilly winter arrives some long boots and her Kestrel coat will keep her snug.

Don't you just love Clever Charlotte?

Tutorial for Chickadee blouse and skirt here.
Here is the tutorial for the Kestrel coat but please be aware the giveaway has finished.

Lovely to hear from you!

    1. Thank you Erin,Lids was very excite to receive birthday wishes from Charlotte herself.
Lidia and Matilda very much enjoy the little fox angle of the patterns and play games incorporating it.
I must catch them on video.
Thank you for the compliment and the opportunity to sew your very special patterns.

    1. Thank you Kim.
Lidia has not been the most confident of children so your comment means so much to me. The older three children(and the smallest one)have such big personalities I worry she will be dwarfed by them.
That is one of the reasons she is my current model and she is blooming under the spotlight.

I like them to have a co-ordinating wardrobe,it is easier for travel and it means that what ever they grab, hopefully,it will match.
Thank you again for your sweet comment.

  3. So classy! It's scary to see what some 8-year-olds are wearing these days (or rather, what some people let their 8-year-olds wear). This is the way to go!

    1. Thats why I was so excited with the Clever Charlotte patterns Susanne. They are completely appropriate for 2-8 year olds but quite groovy in their styling and perfect for play.
      Thank you!

  5. I hope Liddy's birthday was as lovely as she! I love my children's birthdays as a day to remember the blessing of their entrance into the world. The outfit she chose is most pretty; Hope Valley is a one of my favorite ranges. Lidia is as graceful a model as her older sisters!

    1. Thank you Margaret, you always project so much warmth in your comments.

I do wish birthdays would only fall on weekends. I do offer my children the chance to stay home but this year Lids wanted to go,which is a success in its self.

I will pass on your compliments, she shivers with delight when I read them out.
