Vintage- Modelled@The Beach

Re-cap
Zara chose a vintage blouse
And here it is, modelled at the beach.
She looked stunning in it
The voile was floaty and fabulous
The mottled spots and vibrant colour made it very 'now'
She got some very admiring looks
And she was quizzed by the proprietor of a fancy beach wear shop as to where she got it
Mum made it.
He he-love it!

By the way, Zara's fabulous thongs are on sale here
As Tildy would say, 'You are most welcome'

    1. Thank you Kate.
Zara has loved this pattern (and wanted it made) for two years. I made her wait until her sizing was correct.
It was to be sewn in black voile but she swapped to the spotty print at the last minute.
I was a little unsure but she was determined.

She loves it and I think she looks fab.
      Win/win!

  9. I'm not at all surprised that she got those comments/reactions. She made the perfect choice.
The ocean in the photos is gorgeous, it is helping me escape from this very long, cold, dark, and snowy winter we are having right now.

    1. Thank you Rachel, the Twins have quite a collection of older patterns now. Its just a shame they have to wear school uniform.

The weather extremes are crazy this year, -40 d in Canada and 46 d here!

  10. Wow. It's absolutely stunning. I admit, I was a little skeptical when I saw the pattern, but it looks absolutely chic as modeled by the lovely Zara.

    1. Thank you Lara.

I think that may be the key to sewing vintage, careful fabric choices. I cannot wait to start Liddy's dress. Thank you so much for lending me your special pattern.
